PM Joint-Care - Mobilise yourself

Feeling tired of the joint swelling and decreased mobility that accompanies arthritis? Incorporating glucosamine for cartilage protection and repair, grapeseed and green tea for their powerful antioxidant properties and lecithin for the maintenance of healthy joints, Joint-Care is a unique formulation for rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. So, if you’re seeking relief from the effects of joint immobility related to arthritis, or simply trying to avoid its progression, Joint-Care may be just what you’re looking for.

Glucosamine
As a naturally occurring long change amino-sugar molecule, g
lucosamine plays an important role in cartilage health and resilience. Glucosamine is the major building block of proteoglycans, and is used in the formation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which bind water within the structure of cartilage and give cartilage its flexible and protective properties. Glucosamine also stimulates collagen production.

Glucosamine has been proven to be at least equal to conventional NSAID therapy for osteoarthritis, with over 20 controlled clinical trials with more than 6000 participants judging it to be effective as a treatment for the relief of pain and functional impairment. It also has a particularly safe toxicity profile, and may be used in conjunction with conventional anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatments, making it an attractive adjuvant therapy option for the management of arthritis.

Grapeseed
Grapeseed is a natural antioxidant that counters the aging process by minimising the internal damage caused to our bodies by naturally occurring free radicals. By scavenging free radicals, the antioxidants in green tea can effectively reduce the damage that may be caused to cartilage and synovial fluid in our joints.

Grapeseed also possesses a proportionately high content of oligomeric proanthocyanidins, which also help slow the body’s aging process and deterioration by preventing damage to DNA.

Green tea
Green tea has also been included in Joint-Care for its antioxidant properties, assisting in the inhibition of free radical activity to reduce reduce aging, while improving and maintaining joint health. Studies have also shown that the polyphenolic fraction of green tea is rich in antioxidants, and is thereby useful in the prevention and severity of rheumatoid arthritis by virtue of its ability to protect against damage to joint cartilage and synovial fluid.

Lecithin
Lecithin protects synovial joint cell membranes to prevent further damage and loss of vital nutrients by free radicals.

Choline (in the form of phosphatidylcholine) is a major constituent of lecithin and is important in joint and synovial fluid maintenance. Choline may be derived endogenously, however the levels of choline naturally produced are often not sufficient for optimal joint health. Supplementation is therefore necessary to help maintain and improve joint patency.
