The science of swim care

Chlorine and bromine play an important role in maintaining pool and spa water, while swimmers can also be exposed to salt, minerals, sunscreen, sweat and other residues.

Following swimming, some of these substances may remain on the skin and hair. Regular swimmers will be familiar with some of the effects: lingering chlorine odour, tight or dry-feeling skin and hair that can feel rough or difficult to manage.

These challenges provided the foundation for our approach to developing a more complete swim care system.
